New Troop 81 Scoutmaster Roman Rodriguez has stepped up to be Troop 81's newest Scoutmaster. Be sure to congratulate him and offer him your support. We're delighted to have him step into this very important role.
Thank You to Eddie Partain for his years as our latest Scoutmaster. Due to family and work changes, he was forced to step down somewhat suddenly. He guided an excellent week of Summer Camp at Camp Rainey Mountain. Thanks also to Ron Yeater, Scott Miley and Roman Rodriguez who spent part or all of the week helping our Scouts have a great time. Three Scouts achieved their mile swim award and no trips to the infirmary where required this year. Many merit badges and good times were had by all.
Eagle Project by Walker May is set for Saturday July 13 at 800 am. Please wear work clothes and bring gloves. Project is at George Walton Academy in courtyard close to cafeteria.
Backpacking Panther Creek Next outing July 20-21. Essential planning next meeting. This hike is a favorite with an easy 2 mile hike into the campsite and another 2 miles to one of the prettiest waterfalls in Georgia. Plan to bring swimsuits and water shoes for swimming in the falls.
